Interested in learning more about entrepreneurship? Florida Atlantic University‘s Adams Center for Entrepreneurship will be hosting a special topic series this fall.
The courses will be offered from 6:30 p.m. to 9:20 p.m. Tuesdays. Each costs $99 for the general public and $75 for FAU faculty, staff and alumni.
“The Predictive Entrepreneur,” will be from Aug. 23 to Sept. 20 and focus on pitfalls that businesses face, including faulty planning, unrealistic expectations and lack of speed to the market. The instructor is Meredith Madsen, CEO and owner of Madsen Advertising, an Addy Award-winning creative and marketing agency, and Glitter Tots, a company specializing in sunscreen products for children and tweens.
“Disruptive Technology,” set for Sept. 27 to Nov. 1, will focus on defining elements that can lead to success or failure, including intellectual property rights, regulatory clearances, capitalization, public perception and privacy rights. The instructor is Scott R. Silverman, who has led five public companies over the past 20 years.
The series concludes with “How To Establish Foreign Business,” from Nov. 8 to Dec. 6. The course provides the basics of exporting, international trade, multinational business and foreign marketing. The instructor, Hank Samuel, has more than 25 years of experience in the development of global channels of distribution.
