Broward County, Fla. — The Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship, in Florida State University’s College of Business, is accepting applications for its Small Business Executive Program (SBEP) and Nonprofit Executive Program (NPEP). Offered at no cost to participants, the programs are funded by The Jim Moran Foundation and Jim and Jan Moran. Application deadline is March 31.

Super Bowl LIV – NFL Business Connect Workshop

Super Bowl LIV will take place in South Florida on February 2nd, 2020 at Hard Rock Stadium.  The South Florida Community will be impacted by Super Bowl LIV throughout the year, leading up to the game.  Palm Beach County businesses have a chance to benefit from the upcoming Super Bowl with a program taking place this month. The Super Bowl Host Committee will bring its NFL Business Connect workshop to The Palm Beaches on March 21, 2019.  This workshop will take place at the Hilton Palm Beach Airport in West Palm Beach, from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm. The Palm Beach County Sports Commission is working with Palm Beach County’s Office of Equal Business Opportunity to assist the Super Bowl Host Committee with NFL Business Connect. The program aims  to  provide  diverse,  qualified  and  certified  businesses from Palm Beach County opportunities to compete for special event related contracts connected to the Super Bowl. The NFL Business Connect Program is focused on creating contract opportunities for certified minority, woman, veteran, and LBGT owned businesses.

FPL ANNOUNCES PLANS TO BUILD FOUR NEW SOLAR POWER PLANTS IN 2019

JUNO BEACH, Fla.March 4, 2019 /PRNewswire/ — Florida Power & Light Company (FPL) today announced plans to build four new solar power plants this year that are expected to begin powering customers in early 2020:

  • FPL Okeechobee Solar Energy Center, Okeechobee County
  • FPL Hibiscus Solar Energy Center, Palm Beach County
  • FPL Echo River Solar Energy Center, Suwannee County
  • FPL Southfork Solar Energy Center, Manatee County
