Business Development BoardThe Mission of the Business Development Board of Palm Beach County, Inc. is to stimulate economic energy, promote business diversity, and enrich the vitality of Palm Beach County through the relocation, retention, and expansion of companies to or in Palm Beach County.

As a private, not-for-profit company, the BDB works closely with the county commission and county staff, Enterprise Florida, chambers of commerce, business organizations, community redevelopment agencies, downtown development authorities, , and municipalities to achieve economic development goals in the areas of business recruitment, retention, expansion, job creation, workforce development, infrastructure, and availability of capital.

The BDB’s economic development programs and services are partially funded through a contract with the Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners. Matching funds are raised from private industry through membership dues and revenues from special events and publications. As one of only two International Economic Development Council accredited economic development boards in the state of Florida, the BDB is recognized as one of the state’s most successful economic development public/private partnerships.

The BDB is an Accredited Economic Development Organization (AEDO), serving as the primary partner to Enterprise Florida for Palm Beach County. The BDB of Palm Beach County provides individualized services free of charge to companies considering Palm Beach County for a business relocations or expansion. The BDB staff remains personally involved with each project from inception to completion.
